In Sweden we have snowmobile roads official, water ways are hacked. I oay sek 500 per year to local guys who take care of it. Bit rivers are tricky and often we rise off-road

The six-year gap between the Venenum recordings, 2011's Venenum EP and 2017's Trance Of Death full-length debut, was clearly a time well spent for the Germans and they used it wisely to develop their sound and expand their musical horizon.
Best death album so far this year. One of the better debutes I've heard, as well. Perfect balance between brutality and sickening melodies. Good vocals too.
As far as recent death metal that seamlessly blends OSDM with varying degrees of progressive and/or psychedelic elements goes, this album and Morbus Chron's Sweven are at the top for me.

No, I purposefully left that one out It's great, but I don't feel like it's as consistently amazing as those other two. It could do with a little trimming of the fat.
I dunno, that Tribulation album still probably beats anything in its field. That being said I'm still not what field it's in, still don't know how to classify it. That's probably why it's so good though.

I have a bit of a love-hate thing going on with that album and the band as a whole. On the one hand I like the direction they took with Children Of The Night, but I also would have loved to see a continuation (and possible perfection) of Formulas Of Death. I'm really torn when I listen to either album. When I listen to Formulas, I keep hearing hints of what was to come and it somehow bothers me, and when I listen to Children I imagine what could have been. It's almost like there is an album missing in their discography
The only thing I'm sure of is that the latest album was not the way to go.

I kinda like that they swirved to a different approach on each record, and seemed to do great on each. The last one was just Children 0.5 though sadly. Probably a safe bet they're not gonna do a follow up to Formulas though, I guess they're kinda big-ish now so will probably just sound like Ghost in an album or two.
