Biography

Formed in 2013 Shadowflag began a tireless journey into sonic wildernesses and wastelands populated by riffs, grooves and howling, spitting darkness. Their unique ability to provide a swirling narrative accompaniment to black and thrash metal influenced music has provided their listeners with a dark, thought-provoking and distinctively heavy experience.

Expressions of life, death and gritty determination are captured, spun and woven into epic soundscapes that explore what it is to be human; to exist on the perpetual edge of extinction.

The journey never ends...

Shadowflag have played extensively throughout the UK and beyond. They are now considered amongst the most recognised bands in the underground extreme metal scene.
They have released three albums so far. For their self-titled debut, they took the unusual step of recording a 5000 word poem woven around a collection of tracks that add to the story being told. Their second album, The White Grave, was released in 2015 and was met with all positive reviews. Perhaps their most well-known song. 'And Hell Walked Laughing' is a standout track on the album.

In 2017, the band released The Delusion Machine which they once again recorded at Hellfire Studios and was produced by Ajeet 'Hellfire' Gill. This album was described by Dom Lawson (Metal Hammer/The Guardian) as 'Killer...and mad'. The tour that supported the album was hugely well supported and ran for the first few months of 2018.

Shadowflag will release their fourth album In Asylum Requiem on 19th June 2020. Their heaviest work to date, this will be available on a number of formats through Clobber Records.
