Might be as atrocious, but unlike talking about the #1 news topic in the world currently, making fun of other users is actually against the site rules.
Yeah. It's going there. Stop acting as if I'M Mrs. Bad Cop when it was YOU ALL coming through with the Bully Pulpit trying to police rather innocent info - sharing in the first place
"Can't control their own temper"? Like you flipping out over bands that *might* be NSBM but that are really just trying to express themselves artistically as is literally every other band in existence?

This whole blackened sludge foolishness seems to be developing into a pretty legitimate fusion within metal circles as of late. In case you weren't paying attention, back in 2010 the Americans in Coffinworm carved a pretty fine name for themselves in this emerging scene with When All Became None, which has slowly gained praise as one of the highlight albums of the style. Four years later, we see them following up on that release. Coming off of an album that's been so well received is never an easy task for a band, but in this case Coffinworm are rising to the challenge and triumphing.
After the first song and now this, it's safe to say my hopes are not high.
They lost the anger, the rage, the energy. WABN had so much emotion and hate it just begged you to spit on it. This is just disappointing. It's not bad, but it's nowhere near the level of the debut.
I'm with Alex on this. It's even better than their debut. Love the diversity in the song wiring department.
Blackend Sludge in becoming one of my favorite sub-sub genres.
I just ran through the album, and it's better than I thought before. I wish they would use the high vocals more. I still don't think it's better than the first.
Well I've gotta hand it to them, this is a pretty fantastic record. As much as I really want this to sound like Forgotten Tomb-gone dirty blackened sludge like their last album it's hard not to give this anything less than a 9. 'Lust Vs. Vengeance' pretty much necessitates it.

Ahh I'm glad you enjoy this more than you did Indian (which I'm still mad at you for by the way ) . It's really not too similar to the debut, yet it retains fantastic quality.

1 out of 2 isn't bad, and I by no means dislike that Indian record, it could just do with being a bit more like this =P
I am believing that sludge this year would be like death metal in 2013. Tons of great stuff crushing our skull.
Coming back to this comment over a year later, you were absolutely correct. 2014 was definitely The Year Of Sludge
---- I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.
I enjoyed this and found it to be more engaging atmospherically than When All Became None ( I find it strange to talk about atmosphere and sludge in the same sentence). I will need to revisit that soon so I can check if my current opinion is a fluke. The album cover however is much nicer however.

I may not have the largest collection but I certainly have the absolute best
