Wow huge departure from their traditional sound. More experimental/alternative rock with harsh vocals. You can definitely hear the Melvin’s/Sonic Youth inspiration (Spencer is a huge fan).

Yeah not good. I’m sure the Needle Drop-esque folk will love this new “experimental” approach, but the song writing is sloppy and all over the place. Doesn’t really fit with Walker’s vocals either. Maybe they just wanted to drop something different from their last several albums, but this misses the mark.

Oh my, I just heard the track "Fractured Bonds To Mecca" and... Yeah, not happy. Is the whole albvum like this? If so, this is gonna be a hard one to sit through and review.
