It's not about coming to a music site to talk politics over the music, at least not for me. It's about discussing politics IN ADDITION to the music. There's room for both
In fairness, I wouldn't trust anyone who comes to a music webzine to talk about politics instead of the actual music, even for as politically-inclined as metal is.
Like they were all assholes, sure, but they also kept the conversation slanted in a direction that helped expose where peoples' true values and convictions are at. There's some worth in that, I think
