Thanks to digital media, I have been exposed to a large number of great metal albums from female vocalists, especially over the last 5 years. 2020 saw a number of these super releases, and lead me to make this list to celebrate my favourite women of metal.

Doom is my favorite sub genre of metal. One of the main reason being is the sheer diversity it offers, not only in terms of styles but also vocally. Female vocalists are no exception and that is what I want to highlight with this list. The few criteria I have set is that it obviously has to be doom metal of some sort and that it vocally is either sole female vocals or at least for the majority of an albums duration, i.e no "beauty and the beast"-style bands.

New bands are of course constantly forming so this is by no means a complete list. Feel free to suggest bands that might be missing.
