Albums Of 2021 This is a big year for me, when it comes to music. Having spent so much time in lockdown, I've been introduced to so many new sounds and artists. This list is the biggest in my life, and there have been some great albums this year.

The Best Metal Albums* From A To # (S) This list is meant to be an extensive, but by no means exhaustive, collection of the greatest (modern) metal albums and eps. Running the gamut from avant-garde to trve norweigan black metal. *As someone who is young in age, my tastes tend to revolve around the period of the 80s to the present.* Although certain metal albums from before will certainly be featured, the period of the 60s-70s will be under-represented. I refer you to this excellent list to gain a better appreciation for some of the best metal from that period: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/freis/martin_popoffs_the_top_500_heavy_metal_albums_of_all_time/

2021: Jan-Jun After clocking well over 700 albums in 2020, I'm hoping 2021 will be a bit busier IRL and thus slightly less comprehensively covered in these lists, but let's see - with all the new strains emerging, who TF knows when we might return to a semblance of normality. Until then, I'll be trying to make sure that nothing noteworthy passes my radar.

Os Lusíadas: portuguese heavy metal Back in the 2nd half of the 70's and beginning of the 80's, Heavy Metal wasn't a common expression amongst the portuguese. Portugal had just discovered that there was a real world behind the invisible wall built by the dictatorship that had fallen a few years earlier.
"Beatnicks", "Aqui De'l Rock", or "TNT" were some of the bands who had been releasing some singles and EP's of Hard-Rock at the very beginning of the 80's. They paved the rising of other bands that would work that sound, and release the first studio albums of Hard-Rock and Heavy Metal. It was a critical decade for heavy rock in Portugal. This chronologic list of studio albums features the ones, that I believe, are the most important portuguese Hard-Rock and metal albums until today: the best and the pioneering ones. I excluded Punk-Rock but added Hardcore and Alternative Hard-Rock albums as well. Either you're interested in portuguese music, or if you're just curious about it, or even if you are just passing by, this list will work out for you all. This list will grow bigger as the years go by of course, so if you have any suggestions, just let me know. Enjoy!
