Ha sweet pics. Beneath the Remains is definatly their best IMO. I cant stand their new music personally.

I bought "Beneath The Remains" a few days ago,and I am really impressed.I always hesitated to buy one of their cds,but I didn't know what I was missing out on.I hope to get "Arise" and "Morbid Visions" as well.

they are apretty cool band. the political song writing is awesome and i like how they take brazilian beats and put them in a song for example REFUSE/RESIST

They are both good CD's IMO but I personally think BTR is the best but you could think different of course.

I love old Sepultura when Max was the front man!
Chaos AD is my fav. album
You can listen to the whole CD without skiping any song

Sepultura is just great. I haven't got any of their albums yet, but I will.

@DLMokoma: If you want heavy metal stuff go to their Roots album but if you want Thrash go to their Beneath the Remains or Chaos AD albums. Top Stuff

I thought the new album was pretty boring. I think I still rated it a 7 because musically, it wasn't bad. It's just not THRASH enough. I don't want to hear metal bands attempt to influence themselves with hardcore music...especially ones that used to be fucking as awesome as Sepultua. I still like the band, but am not a fan of their new attempt to sound "heavy" and to incorporate mood inticing elements into their music. They do both poorly. The same goes with slayer. Awesome bands, but there is a reason people still favor your old records.

Ofcourse ... no one denies that the old thrash sepultura is better ,Once Kisser told Dino (x-ff) you dun have to tune loud to be thrash .. Xactly what kisser's doin .. he's playin so much differnet now and really nice ...
Old sep. was better for only one reason which is MAX WAS A GOOD FAIR MAN .. (NON.AMERICAN) when was like that he used to put brazilian flag only ... now he puts american then brazilian
so he became sold out ... from the album Roots (one of my fav. albums) ...
so max was the shame on SEP. and Sepultura with him would be worse than this (if ya think they are bad now)

@Slayerized: I dont know who you think you are saying Fuck Max and Igor they were pretty much the founders of the band.

A friend of mine, who is a friend of Igor Cavalera told me that a reunion was on plans, but he told me that Igor said "Max doesn't want to do it yet" If it's true or not, a reunion with the original members would be awesome!!!

Now onto the topic, they WERE a pretty cool band, maybe best band on earth at their time, I've heard some good shit about Dante XXI, but it's shurely not as good as Arise or Beneath the Remains.

SOULFLY frontman Max Cavalera recently spoke to Holland's Toazted.com about the possibility of a reunion with his former SEPULTURA bandmates at some point in the not-too-distant future. Asked about the rumor that a reunited SEPULTURA was in talks several months ago to play this year's Ozzfest, Max said, "There's been a lot of rumors. SEPULTURA is one of the most rumored things out there. [Laughs] I talked to my brother [ex-SEPULTURA drummer Igor Cavalera] recently. He has a new son named Antonio, which is my middle name. He says he looks a lot like me. I've only seen a picture. I plan to visit him sometime next year. We're in a very good relationship, which is great, after all this bullshit. Ten years? Life is too short to hold [grudges]. So I think in a weird way, God has a way to manage these things and he's putting it all together now. With or without the reunion ? I don't really care ? it's important that we're brothers? blood, family? it's a great thing. But to tell you the truth, it would be cool to have a reunion. Even my kids wanna see it. My [stepson] Richie is like, 'Oh, my God, I've gotta? I know I saw SEPULTURA, but I was too little, I don't remember.' And SEPULTURA has touched so many people. So it would be really, really cool."

With regards to how a SEPULTURA reunion might affect SOULFLY, Max said, "I think SOULFY [and SEPULTURA] are completely different things. SOULFLY has its own identity and its own vibe. And it will not conflict with SEPULTURA, I don't think ? it's two completely different things. And touring with BLACK SABBATH last year ? I was really inspired. It was so good to see? Those guys, they hated each other for a long period, and you see that they make up and they go on tour, and they? I don't know. You can really see that Ozzy loves BLACK SABBATH. It's in his blood. He loves [the band]. How can you not? It was inspiring for me. So I think I understand more now why people want to see [a] SEPULTURA [reunion]. It makes more sense now than it did? When we first split up, I was like, 'No, I'm never doing that shit again. Screw this, I hate this shit,' but I think different now. It's working itself [out]. When it happens, it'll happen, and it'll be good."

Old Sepultura kicks fucking ass. Choas or Arise is my favorite album. It would a miracle if Max rejoined the band some day

I found my old Sepultura cd-s when i was cleaning my room some weeks ago and I just can't imagine how could I have them for such a long time and not listen to it for such a long period anyway, as I got bored of the music I previously listened the most, Sepultura is now daily on my playlist. Gotta say I like Chaos A.D. the most, it just relaxes me

I knew today that Igor Cavalera is out of Sepultura and without Max Cavalera too, I think Sepultura is buried (in spanish we can say "Sepultura está sepultada" )

In order to make a reunion they will have to do something about Derek and, as far as I know, they have no problem with him yet and thus no reason for getting rid of him. Perhaps unknown factors of the future may grant us this wish to us all.

Someone who saw them on their tour with In Flames and remembers their playlist? I saw them but didn't listen to them at that time (that concert got me into Sepultura).

A band that I'm starting up is considering doing a cover of "Refuse/Resist." I think it would be a pretty good one to do considering the shitty state of affiars that the world is in right now. Plus it just flat out rocks.

Recently bought "Chaos A.D.", gonna listen to it now ... my expectations are high!

Slaves of pain is the mad notes son. I like their hardcore era as musch as their thrash and death. It's all goos stuff.

Sepultura was a great band. Too bad after Arise album it has just gotten worse and worse.

I think that Dante is their best album but i thats also the one i've been listening to the most. Quite new to the band but they are great!

Sepultura is right now my favourite band thanks to the amazing Chaos A.D.!
