Power Quest - Line-Up Troubles Continue

Power Quest have parted ways with their vocalist and guitarist, for a change. Here's the official word from the band:

"Power Quest has parted ways with frontman Pete Morten and guitarist Ben Randall due to musical differences. Needless to say: ''the split was amicable and everyone in the Power Quest family wishes Pete and Ben all the very best in their respective musical endeavors."

A new vocalist has already been found and the band is hard at work rehearsing new material with him. In the meantime, Power Quest is looking for a new guitarist to join the line up. Dedication, commitment and drive are essential, as is the ability and desire to tour and rehearse (one weekend per month in the U.K.) as required. Experience is obviously an advantage but is by no means essential."

They should ask ZP, hahaha.
He'd never sing for this band now.

It's a real shame that this great band can't find stability. A rumour is escalating (particularly on the Power Quest section on ultimatemetal.com) that ZP is the new vocalist.

Steve Williams has not denied this in any of the several posts he's made since the rumour started and he says he keeps in touch with all previous members of PQ (ZP sang on a Power Quest Demo, for those that didn't know) so it's certainly a possibility.

Sometimes, bands start to suck because of line-up changes but the positive part in Power Quest's case is it can't get any worse than it was on "Master Of Illusion". No PM album can suck more than that.

"ZP" is the first thought that came to my mind when I read this

Even more of them, eh? That was fast, to say the least. It is also unfortunate. They could use with some solid line-up. At least it isn't a situation where no founding members are left yet.

Everything has fallen apart this last year for PQ but Steve has marched on and i think karma is WELL overdue. so the next album should be amazing. Baz may be eating his words. i'm kind of hoping not though. If ZP re-joined then they would become big just because of that and that's not fair to Steve really. despite the large amount of hate on MS they are a great uplifting band
