06.March.2006:

We are extremely satisfied with the pre-productions we have done and have strong faith in the material! Leaves Eyes - New EP

New EP "Legend Land"!
07.03.2006

The saga continues! Continuing the successful journey of "Vinland Saga", Leaves' Eyes have recorded a mini album presenting five brand-new exclusive tracks! The EP, called "Legend Land", will be released for the price of a single at the end of April/beginning of May 2006 in connection with the up-coming tours. The tracks are: "Legend Land", "Skraelings", "Viking's Word", "The Crossing", "Lyset". Alex Krull explains: "At first we'd planned to release a single from the "Vinland Saga" album, however, we decided to record a complete EP with brand new and exclusive songs. This is our way of saying thankyou to our fans and their great support. The past tours were amazing! As we will tour a lot this year it will take a while until we have finished our next full-length album. These five powerful and atmospheric tracks developed out of a couple of new brilliant ideas. Liv Kristine adds: "The new songs sound fantastic. They are very strong. We had a wonderful time continuing our work with the Viking concept and making further discoveries." This can only mean one thing: the adventurous journey continues!

Flowing Tears - Updates

02.March.2006
Hell-o everybody
Yes, we´re still alive and walking among the dead. We know we haven´t updated this site that often in the last few months, and we know that for some suspicious, distrusting minds this could seem as if nothing happens in the FT camp - but you´re all wrong. The work on the new album is in good progress and if the devil is with us the album will definetely be released within 2006. Until then we decided to let you participate in the carthatic agony of writing an album by dropping some personal notes and comments on the progress of our work in form of a diary. If you´re lost, sleepless or just have nothing better to do - feel free to act as a voyeur and go on reading.

Let me give you some facts first to give you an update of what´s going on actually. In the last few weeks we were working hard on some songs we´re really in love with. Yesterday Helen came over to track some vocals which sound quite different from what you might know from her, but definetely add a new dimension to the FT sound. It´s maybe too early to reveal any songtitles yet, but we´ll add more and more details with every update. Oh, and for all of you, who might ask us about a general schedule - I can reveal that our plan is to enter the studio in June/July and probably you all can enjoy some new stuff then later this year, sounds like a plan, doesn´t it?

Ok, more news and personal notes from some of us will follow in irregular updates during the next weeks - until then - praise the lord satán! ;-)

goodnight.
ben.

Aeternus - Drummer Leaves Band

Statement 07.02.2006

Greetings to you all!

Erik, the drummer of Aeternus decided to quit the band a while after the Production of "HeXaeon" was completed. He was with Aeternus from the same year as I started the band which was 1993.

His reasons were honest and understandable as we all respect his ways and opinions regarding his musical path and so forth. Erik said he simply had no more to give the style of extreme metal-music, he felt he had done enough and his passion and fire towards this type of metal style were no longer with him to the extent where it would give him something as a musician and a drummer to proceed.

Erik meant a lot to Aeternus' music and his drumming was always a part of what makes Aeternus what it is today. I will personally always be glad and honored for the time he spent in Aeternus. His skills and dedication were at 100% at all times. The way it should be. He will be missed and remembered as one of the greatest musicians I have personally ever worked with. I am glad to know that his drumming on ALL of Aeternus' released material will always be there, reminding me of a tremendously great musical Era, but first and foremost an Era that has given me SO much inspiration as a composer of extreme music. Growing as a musician with him over a period of 13 years was something very, very special that I wouldn't trade for anything.

To Erik: We'll miss you brother, as a highly skilled and dedicated drummer.

The future of Aeternus is a bit on stand-by due to his departure, but Aeternus will continue and we are looking for a replacement. This leads to the fact that gigs and whatnot are not really "around the corner" anywhere to put it that way. Replacing Erik will take time and preparing a new drummer can take time as well. Be patient. We WILL get the wheels rolling again regarding live shows.

Ares

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows! It's the andOceans 10-year anniversary!

After a bunch of releases and two albums on Century Media we decided to turn the page and put the name andOceans on dry land. From now on andOceans is Havoc Unit! It's still the same unit with the same core, just a new name folks. There are new windows to break; twice as strong the stones will be thrown. Stay tuned for new 'looney tunes'!

To-Mera Signs To Candlelight Rec.

Yes, we're now officially a signed band! We signed a three album deal with Candlelight, a great label who have been home to the likes of Opeth, Emperor, Enslaved, Crowbar, 1349 and many many more. We're more than proud to be counted amongst such an illustrious line-up. We're working hard to make the best possible album for a release later on this year.

If you could forward this message on to your friends it'd be really appreciated.

Here's the "official" release cut/pasted for more info:

To-Mera was formed by Julie Kiss and Lee Barrett (ex:Extreme Noise Terror / Disgust / Mussolini Headkick) following her acrimonious departure from the Hungarian progressive metal band Without Face (ex: Earache / Elitist recording artists). She felt that she still had a lot more to offer musically and set about finding like-minded musicians in order to persue that goal. Fellow Hungarian Akos Pirisi, a huge fan of Meshuggah and a master of polyrhythmics, was brought in on drums. Later Tom MacLean was found after he, a big Without Face fan, recognized Julie and introduced himself at a Dillinger Escape Plan concert. Tom graduated from the Trinity College of Music in London, where he studied Jazz guitar. Although a huge metalhead, His broad musical tastes are evident in his playing, and he constantly pushes himself to attain new levels of skill.

When all was finally in place, the band recorded their debut demo in July 2005 at The Peel rehearsal rooms (Kingston-Upon-Thames) on a laptop, and it was mixed in France by up-and-coming producer Brett Caldas-Lima (Kalisia / Malmonde / Fairlight).

After the demo was recorded, the band finally found a fulltime keyboard player in the shape of Hugo Sheppard. Hugo is also a graduate of the Trinity College of Music where he studied classical piano. He has already contributed to the band's newer material, and his avant-garde, free-flowing style has added yet another dimension to To-Mera's sound.

The songs are worked almost literally around Julie's lyrics, adding flesh to the emotive, dark and esoteric bones. The mesmeric descriptive themes allow the listener a very personal look into a deeply multifarious mindset. The music as a result is a complex, heavy and at times heartfelt hybrid of powerful progressive metal, beguiling acoustic passages, enchanting keyboard soundscapes and unmistakable female vocals.

The demo was sent to many webzines and magazines, where universal acclaim was given. The band received "Demo of The Month" at Organ Magazine, Zero Tolerance magazine and Imperiumi.net (Finland). These, and many other, great reviews led to a number of interested record labels getting in touch. It soon became clear that Candlelight Records (Emperor, Opeth, 1349, Zyklon, Enslaved, etc) was the best choice for the band and a multi-album, worldwide deal was signed at the beginning of January 2006. The demo is still available for download at http://www.myspace.com/tomeraband .

Lacuna Coil - Release Date Set

LACUNA COIL are set to release their latest full-length effort, Karmacode, on April 4th via Century Media Records. The highly anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed commercial breakthrough album, Comalies, was co-produced by Waldemar Sorychta and LACUNA COIL in Germany and Italy while the album was both mixed by Ronald Prent (Rammstein, H.I.M., Iron Maiden) and mastered by Darcy Proper (Steely Dan, Porcupine Tree, R.E.M.) at Galaxy Studios in Belgium. Asterik Studio (Trapt, Funeral For A Friend, The Used), the Grammy-nominated design firm, is handling the package design for Karmacode.

Guitarist Cristiano Migliore adds, "It's taken a long time to put together these songs and I can say they're the best ones we've ever written! Working with old friends as well as new ones has been incredibly exciting and we had the chance to mix in one of the best studios in the world so, really, what else could we ask for? I'm definitely sure our fans will love the music just as much as they'll love the artwork that Asterik has created for Karmacode!"

The track list for Karmacode is as follows:

2.To The Edge
3.Our Truth
4.Within Me
5.Devoted
6.You Create
7.What I See
8.Fragments Of Faith

"Our Truth", the album's lead track, will receive its worldwide debut on the Underworld: Evolution soundtrack on January 10th alongside Puscifer (Maynard Kennan's new project), Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), Slipknot, My Chemical Romance, Atreyu, and more. "We all loved the 1st Underworld movie and soundtrack and knowing we'll be part of this soundtrack alongside all these great bands is awesome!" says Cristiano. "It's incredible to see all this interest in our band and every time something like this happens it's definitely surreal. It's also going to be a great chance to see what people think of the new stuff! Let's keep our fingers crossed!"

A video for "Our Truth" was shot in Los Angeles by Fort Awesome, a brand-new directorial duo, whose individual directing credits include Queens of the Stone Age, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Chevelle, Atreyu, Shadows Fall, and more. "The experience of shooting the video was a wonderful one, for sure" adds Cristina, "Both the band and the crew worked from sunset to sunrise in the Hollywood Hills, remaining 100% focused and after all was said and done we believe we pulled off a masterpiece of a video we're sure everyone's going to love."
