Biography

A Stockholm act originating in August 1984 when their punk influences prevailed, the group was originally named Agoni and found themselves going in a more Thrash Metal oriented direction following the addition of drummer Tommy Moberg and guitarist Magnus Sjölin.
The group, still spelling the name Agoni, toured in Britain with Swedish Punk outfit Anti Cimex in June and July 1986 having released the 'The Future Is Ours' demo the previous March.
Following a second demo, 'Execution Of Mankind' (August 1986), Agony (SWE) obtained a deal with Music For Nations in 1987.
Although the debut album, 'The First Defiance', was recorded with two guitarists, Pelle Ström was fired before Christmas 1987 and was to later join The Krixjälters, Omnitron and Comecon. After Agony (SWE) broke up, Tommy Moberg joined Rubbermen.
